One of the activities within the joint action in the West-Pomeranian region of Poland is a series of lectures under a common title “What can lawyers learn from the investigations of the National Remembrance Institute?”. The invited speakers represent the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation. The Institute was created in particular to preserve the memory of the losses which were suffered by Poles as a result of the World War II and the post-war period, and to prosecute crimes against peace, humanity and war crimes committed during World War II.

In 2012/2013 we have organized a short course dedicated to the crime against humanity of illegal deprivation of liberty. This was inspired by a precedent judgement concerning the events during martial law in Poland in 1981.
